MUNTAGNA
Cookie Policy
This cookie policy is provided pursuant to Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 (Privacy Code), as amended by Legislative Decree no. 101/2018, and the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Provision no. 229 of 8 May 2014 (“Simplified procedures for providing information and obtaining consent regarding cookies”), as well as in compliance with the Cookie Guidelines of 10 June 2021.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files — generally composed of letters and numbers — that websites visited by the user send to their terminal (computer, tablet, smartphone), where they are stored and retransmitted to the same websites on subsequent visits.
Cookies can be classified according to:
- Duration: session cookies (deleted when the browser is closed) or persistent cookies (remain on the device for a predetermined period)
- Origin: first-party cookies (set by the visited website) or third-party cookies (set by a different domain)
- Purpose: technical cookies (necessary for operation), analytical cookies (to collect statistics), profiling cookies (to track user behaviour for marketing purposes)
2. Cookies Used by MUNTAGNA
2.1 No Cookies
This website does not use any type of cookie.
Specifically, muntagna.it does not install:
- Session or persistent technical cookies
- Analytical cookies (first-party or third-party)
- Profiling or marketing cookies
- Social media cookies or third-party widgets
Consequently, no cookie consent is required from the user, as the website does not make use of any cookies.
2.2 No Cookie Banner
In the absence of cookies, the website does not require a cookie consent banner. No pop-up or notice relating to cookie acceptance is therefore displayed.
3. Local Storage Technologies
3.1 Local Storage
The only information stored locally on the user’s device is the browsing language preference (Italian or English), stored exclusively via the browser’s localStorage API.
localStorage is a client-side storage mechanism that:
- Is not a cookie: it is not automatically transmitted to the server with each HTTP request
- Contains no personal data: it solely stores an identifier code for the chosen language (e.g.
"it"or"en") - Is purely technical in nature: it only serves to remember the user’s language preference during browsing and on subsequent visits, improving the browsing experience
- Is not used for tracking: it does not collect or transmit browsing, behavioural, or identifying data
Pursuant to the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Guidelines, this storage falls within the technical operations strictly necessary to provide the service requested by the user and does not require consent.
4. Infrastructure and Network Services
The website consists exclusively of static pages (HTML, CSS, client-side JavaScript) and is hosted on Cloudflare Pages.
Content delivery takes place via Cloudflare Inc.’s CDN (Content Delivery Network), and DNS resolution is managed by Cloudflare nameservers.
Cloudflare Inc., as a network and CDN service provider, may automatically process technical connection data — such as IP addresses, routing data, and browser information — solely for the purposes of:
- Ensuring network security and protection against DDoS attacks
- Optimising static content delivery
- Ensuring the proper technical functioning of the infrastructure
Such processing is carried out by Cloudflare as an independent controller or data processor, in accordance with its own privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ ↗.
5. No Tracking or Profiling
MUNTAGNA does not use any tools for:
- Statistical analysis or web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, Matomo, Plausible)
- Behavioural tracking or heatmaps
- User profiling for advertising or marketing purposes
- Retargeting or remarketing
- Tracking pixels or web beacons
- Browser fingerprinting
No user browsing data is collected, stored, or analysed.
